Short examples by women for book on Break-Ups
In need of short examples, 1 paragraph in length, that highlight your (female) personal experience with a break-up, specifically in one of the following areas:
1. initial considerations
2. thinking about breaking up before doing it
3. reasons for leaving or wanting out
4. battling the break-up blues
5. having “the talk”
6. readjusting finances or living situation
7. kids (natural, adopted, stepkids, foster, etc)
8. fallout or aftermath (can include stalking, domestic violence)
9. redefining yourself afterwards
10. the act of “going solo”
11. ways you stayed positive and on course
12. regrets
13. new realizations that empowered you
Multiple paragraphs can be sent but each one must focus on ONE of the categories above. These need to be based on your personal experience as women who have gone through (or are in the process of or at least considering) a breakup of a romantic partnership (opp sex or same sex).
Only first names will be used, and please indicate if you prefer a pseudonym. By sending me your story, you are releasing the story and agreeing to have it published in my book and edited/proofed if needed and at my discretion. You contribute it voluntarily and without expectation of compensation, providing it instead to contribute to a body of work for and by women. Also, by sending me your story you are agreeing to having your name included with the story, unless you include or request that I use a pseudonym. Include your city/state (location after the names adds authenticity).
